INSOFT Development & Consulting – the only Romanian company with 4 nominations in the European IT & Software Excellence Awards finals

The European IT & Software Excellence Awards is an annual competition dedicated to hundreds of organizations who have implemented complex IT solutions and projects. Now in their 8th year, this year’s European IT & Software Excellence Awards attracted over 400 entries from more than 31 countries. After a careful evaluation of an independent jury, a total of 86 companies from 21 European countries have made the finals.

INSOFT is the only Romanian company with 4 nominations in the finals, for 2 different projects that participated in the competition, in the Solution Provider and ISV (Independent Software Vendor) categories. Another premiere is marked by the fact that INSOFT is the only company in the competition, nominated twice within the same section, for different projects:

• Public Sector and Utilities Solution of the Year – for the project INFUSE – ”Training for providing modern services”

• Public Sector / Utilities Solution of the Year – for the project ADETIM – ”Innovative e-business solution”

• Software Innovation Solution of the year – for the project INFUSE – ”Training for providing modern services”

• Government/Utilities Solution of the Year – for the project ADETIM – ”Innovative e-business solution”

“Receiving 4 nominations in the European IT Excellence Awards finals is certainly a major performance, taking into account that some of the most important IT companies in Europe took part in the competition. We are honoured to represent the Romanian IT industry at the highest level, being the only company from Romania to participate in this year’s competition that received a record number of nominations. This success is mainly due to the proven expertise of the team of specialists from INSOFT that once again showcased their highest capabilities for developing modern IT solutions and implementing major projects that are examples of good practice at international level”, said Cristian Aciubotaritei, CEO - INSOFT Development & Consulting.

The two projects selected for the finals were appreciated for their ambitious objectives, the efficiency of the IT solutions developed, their outcomes and the great number of final beneficiaries – business and local public administration representatives as well as the general public.

The project INFUSE – “Training for providing modern services”, was implemented for “The Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Protection and Elderly”, in partnership with other renowned private companies. Within the project, INSOFT provided a complete e-Learning solution for training and certifying the competences of 6500 social inclusion specialists who had access to 40 interactive courses developed by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Also, 43 videoconferences centres were fully equipped and an integrated system supporting the collaboration, training and management of the target group was developed.

The project “Innovative e-business solution” aims to support SMEs development in the Romanian-Serbian border region by developing and implementing within ADETIM (The Socio-Economic Development Agency – ADETIM, Timisoara) an interactive computer platform having the role to promote business opportunities in the cross border region, mainly in Timis county and Vrsac municipality.

“This year has seen more entries than ever and an even wider spread of project types – from mobility, security and management to software-as-a-service packages for key vertical markets, and from data-driven systems using the new power of analytics to others which effectively replace costly old systems with new and far more efficient apps, increasingly driven in the cloud. The result is the best-ever advertisement for the capabilities of European IT, and we could not help but be impressed by the skills on display and the effort that has gone into effective IT delivery.” - John Garratt, President of the jury and journalist at IT Europe.
