Short description of the project: The main objective of this project is the implementation of an innovative and complex product within the program “Making hospital management and access to healthcare services more efficient by creating an innovative integrated IT system”. The product will include innovative features that will contribute to integrating and connecting all the healthcare services provided by the hospital and the ambulatory care unit, with complex management and reporting activities, facilitating real-time tracking of the cost per patient.

From a scientific perspective, the project is focused on adopting a new approach regarding the IT requirements in the healthcare domain, based on applying the concepts of Balanced Scorecard in the management of the hospitals’ activities. The added value will be generated by introducing these concepts in the IT system’s structure and by using the latest technologies, specially designed for developing specific programs that can be accessed by large number of users. The development of the foreseen solution will support and enhance the continuous and quantifiable access of patients to quality healthcare services.
